Just Another Housewife – Book Tour with Holly

An Evening of Truth, Healing & Connection

Keep an eye out for upcoming dates and locations for an intimate evening with Holly—author, speaker, and facilitator—sharing raw, honest reflections on adversity, healing, and becoming.

This is more than a book reading.
It is a space to sit, reflect, and be reminded—you are not alone
.

About the Evening

So often, when we are walking through hardship, we believe we are alone.
We tell ourselves no one will understand.
Sometimes, we even believe this is all there is.

This evening is about breaking that silence.

Through storytelling, poetry, and reflection, Holly creates a space where people can feel seen, understood, and held in a korowai of aroha and manaaki.

Holly also speaks openly about heavy and often unspoken topics—the realities many people carry but don’t always feel safe to share. This is done with care, honesty, and intention, so attendees can come prepared and feel supported in the space.

The Impact of These Books

These books have resonated deeply with both wāhine and tāne.

Many wāhine share that through reading, they feel seen, understood, and less alone in their experiences.

Many tāne have said the books are eye-opening, offering insight into what wāhine go through and deepening their understanding.

Because of this, the books—and these evenings—have been requested, supported, and valued by both wāhine and tāne, creating space for shared understanding, connection, and growth.

The Books Behind the Tour

Just Another Housewife (The Person I Was)

A collection of raw, abstract poems and writings from a time of searching, surviving, and trying to find purpose.

This book speaks to the parts of us that feel unseen, unheard, and overwhelmed—offering connection through shared experience.

A Road to Mauri Ora (The Person I Am Becoming)

A reflection of the healing journey—honest, challenging, and real.

This is not a story of perfect healing, but of doing the hard work—facing truth, sitting in discomfort, and choosing growth.
A lighthouse for those still navigating dark waters.

Legacy (For the People of Tomorrow)

A dedication to rangatahi and the future.
